The BEST KETO BREAD EVER! From the Keto King.

Yes, I said this is the BEST EVER! But it truly is, just like my last recipe video where I used a BREAD MAKER to bake the recipe. But this low carb bread recipe is almost the exact same but uses the oven – no bread maker or bread machine required!

This Keto yeast bread is the best I’ve tasted. It certainly comes amazingly close to regular bread but is a true low carb bread as the carbs are only 2.2g per slice! Above all you get a full rise from this recipe, thanks to the use of yeast . My last recipe video was a HUGE hit but some asked if this would work in an oven? Well, after some experimenting, this low carb recipe came out ridiculously good, almost just as good as the bread maker recipe!

The needing works best if carried out in a stand mixer. However, I’d like to emphasize that if you don’t have a bread machine / bread maker or a stand mixer, DO NOT BUY A STAND MIXER.

But Rather spend your money on a bread maker machine as the keto yeast bread comes out as good (if not better) in the bread maker and making the ketogenic bread in the bread maker is much easier. Simply add the keto ingredients in the right order, and press one button. After a few hours, you have wonderful yeast keto bread.

Therefore If you don’t want to spend money on anthing, borrow either a bread machine or a stand mixer from a friend. But if you only have a stand mixer, then go ahead and use this keto recipe and you’ll still be easting the best keto bread ever!

I have so much to say about this keto yeast bread. Firstly, we use yeast in the keto yeast bread, which gives it an incredible rise and height. Yes, this keto bread rises just like regular bread loaf. Say hello to a full size low carb bread!

Yes, we have to add some sugar to make it rise, but we use only 1 teaspoon of sugar for this keto bread recipe. And, the yeast eats up that sugar (honey) anyway, so you don’t actually consume those carbs (which is only 6g of sugar from the honey). And the incredible smell that this keto yeast bread has, is unreal! I couldn’t get enough of sniffing this low carb bread!

Just follow my instructions on this keto bread recipe video exactly and you should end up with a fantastic loaf of delicious low carb bread made in the oven. However, you could either borrow a second hand bread machine or stand mixer to use, or invest in one. It will be worth it for this epic ketogenic bread.

Ingredients for the Keto Yeast Bread:

1/2 cup of Oat Fiber (41g/1.45oz)
2/3 cup of Flaxseed Meal (70g/2.46oz)
1.25 cups of Vital Wheat Gluten (190g/6.7oz)
1 teaspoon Salt (6g / 0.21oz)
0-4 Tablespoons powdered Sweetener (0 – 60g/ 0-2oz)
1/2 teaspoon Xanthan Gum (2.5g/0.088oz)

1 cup warm water (50-55C / 120-131F) (240ml/8.1oz)
One (1) Tablespoon INSTANT Yeast (8g/0.28oz)
1 teaspoon Honey (7g/0.25oz)
2 Eggs (lightly beaten)
2 Tablespoons softened Butter (30g/1.05oz)

Macros for entire Keto Yeast Bread:

Calories: 1517 cal
Fat: 90g
Carbs: 35g Net Carbs (162g total carbs – 67g fibre – 60g sugar alcohols)
Protein: 169g

Macros per slice of Keto Yeast Bread (assuming 18 slices):

Calories: 105 cal
Fat: 5g
Carbs: 1.94g Net Carbs (9g total carbs – 3.76g fibre – 3.3g sugar alcohols)
Protein: 9.4g

  • So stoked to try this!! Question, how can I make this bread without a stand mixer? Purely by hand? Is it possible?

  • Love the recipe. The bread is wonderful. My dough was wetter than yours and it didn’t rise as high. I’ll try watching video again to make sure that I didn’t do something wrong. Where does the sugar alcohol count come from? I didn’t use a sweetener, so what were my total carbs and net carbs?

  • How long have you actually tried the wheat gluten bread yourself? Any reactions or keto exit coz of it? Even if not, what about the insulin spikes? Do you have more to share on that?

    Because for me all keto bread I baked so far fail miserably to crunch on toasting rather they get softer.

  • Finally a bread that looks & taste as good as the real thing. Forget all others, this is the real deal. Follow the procedures as closely as possible, include water temp, honey, yeast fermentation & proofing and you should replicate the above. The only thing I did differently was to add an extra 10mins cooking time (10 degrees lower for the this part). Thank you so very much for sharing & adding positively to my Keto experience!

  • I just used my slow cooker with a cup of water in the bottom, put it on low and covered with a towel for 30 min. The loaf is huge! Baked for 30 minutes at 375 and it’s absolutely beautiful!

  • I love this bread! I’ve been Keto for a year now and missed bread so much, I cant stand the Keto breads made with almond flour and eggs. I’ve made this bread a few times now in my bread maker but am fed up with having a hole in the bottom from the paddle so I am going to try the oven version instead. I did find the xantham gum makes it a little chewy and soft so I decided to try using blond psylium husk instead (I added 10g) and it was great, no chewiness and I think the bread has more of a crumb texture when toasted 🙂

  • I am sure you got a rise, Vital wheat Gluten is used to make regular bread rise. What I would question is I don’t understand, what makes it Keto friendly? Not being negative here, I really don’t know and want to know. If it is Keto, Heck i’m not proud, I’d sure nuf eat it!

  • I have made this 5 times… success every single time thank you so much 4 showing me how to make this in my KitchenAid mixer… the only difference I did from what you did is I have a double oven . I turned the bottom oven on to 350 please put my bread in the top oven and let it rise for 1 hr. oh my goodness so then after the hour I took the bread out of the top oven and put it in the bottom oven and baked it for 25 minutes at 375 degrees….YUMMY!!!!

  • This bread recipe is amazing, I fortunately have a keep warm option on my oven and it works perfectly for the rise, I do not put cling wrap on mine. When its risen I leave it in the oven and turn the heat up to 375 and it turns out perfect every time. One of the best bread recipes I have ever tasted!

  • I bake bread for almost 40 years( every week I bake my bread for family for the week) and you don’t PROOVE the instant yeast in water never if your bread didn’t rise like usual it’s because the yeast was to old or pass date !!! Must always verified the date on the package yeast…. Buy fresh yeast, it’s the best for bread im telling you . And another thing , if the water is too hot it kill the yeast ! A lot of people’s make this mistake and I’m sure they’ve put boiling water from the kettle so it kill the yeast and the bread don’t rise like it should have . This recipe is the most like a real bread, I like it…I’m a bread lover !!!😉

  • This IS the best keto bread ever! Easy to make, and it looked exactly like the video! I preheated the oven to warm and turned it off. I also put a pot of water on to boil while I made the bread. Rising time in the warm oven with the hot water was just over an hour (used the fast acting yeast). I finally have a bread I can eat!

  • Does the dough need to release the air after proofing ( just like making normal bread with yeast)? I tried today and followed all steps but the loaf sank in the bottom after coming out of the oven.

  • How can wheat gluten n oat be allowed be ok to use…the whole point of keto is no wheat n no oats😧

  • I was good up to including adding vital wheat gluten. How is it possible to Be Keto bread using wheat gluten as it isn’t free from GMO’s.

    • Made the bread anyway. It was chewy and the flavor was more flax seed. The chewy part may be the wheat gluten. As it cooled it collapsed a bit.

  • Gluten is actually not keto friendly, ‘cause even if you are not celiac it’s gonna cause some sort of inflammation and you have to avoid that to stay in ketosis. Whether it’s free of carbohydrates or not keto is beyond that simple equation.

    Yes, it came out beautifully, and I was sooo excited. Sorry to say though that the smell of this makes me nauseous.

  • Great bread thanks but I did it twice so far and still can’t get it to rise beyond 5 cm up , I even increased yeast to 10 gm the second time with proofing oven and warm moist environment . My yeast is alive and good ! Any suggestions ?
